Abel Hollow gets straight to the feeling of being overlooked with Anybody, a song that centres on loneliness, wanting connection and wondering whether there is still somebody out there who truly understands you.
“Anybody” is such a small word, but it can carry a lot when you are alone. It can mean wanting someone to call, someone to listen, someone to choose you or simply someone who will stay. There is a difference between enjoying your own company and wishing you did not have to handle everything by yourself.

What catches me about Anybody is the uncertainty inside the title. It does not say “I need you” or name a particular person. It sounds like someone who has reached the point where they are not even asking for perfection anymore. They just want somebody genuine. That makes the song easy to relate to without needing to turn loneliness into something dramatic.
